Art & Well-Being

Woodmere partners with community organizations to offer events which enrich the body and mind. Through interactive art sessions, participants engage with artworks and explore opportunities for self-expression, fostering a sense of connection and well-being.

the art of looking

Led by Flo Gelo, medical humanities educator, psychotherapist, writer; and Hildy Tow, the Robert L. McNeil, Jr. Curator of Education, Woodmere, The Art of Looking is a program that will deepen your ability to engage with art. By focusing on one artwork at a time, the program is designed to increase a viewer’s ability to observe, to participate in self-reflection, (enabling thoughts and feelings to evolve over time), and to promote conversation and multiple viewpoints with others. This program invites you to develop meaningful connections to works of art that inspire and enrich your experience.

Pre-registration is required. Events take place in person, in our galleries.
