Children and teen Classes and Workshops
Our kids and teens art programs encourage young artists to explore their creativity through fun, hands-on projects in a variety of mediums. Classes are designed to inspire self-expression, develop artistic skills, and foster a love for art in a supportive and engaging environment.

In this studio class, students will create observational work using a variety of materials, including charcoal, acrylic on canvas, watercolor, and ink. They will develop foundational skills in color mixing, blending, sketching, and composition while working from direct observation. Through studies and still-life exercises, students will build finished pieces suitable for portfolio presentation. The class will also include opportunities to draw and paint outdoors in Woodmere’s gardens to create vibrant landscape paintings en plein air. This relaxed and supportive studio environment will enable students to strengthen their drawing and painting skills while deepening their understanding of technique, process, and creative expression. Students can take this class for the two sessions it is offered with projects that continue to challenge and develop their skills. All materials included. Dress for mess!
