Contributions to Woodmere are vitally important and greatly appreciated. Gifts at all levels support exhibitions, education programs, and the preservation of our collection. There are many ways to support the Museum and a selection of opportunities are listed below.

Matching Gifts
Multiply the impact of your gift to Woodmere. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match most charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies also match gifts made by spouses, children, retirees. Check with your employer to see eligibility.
Major Gifts

Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)
If you are a shareholder, partner of, member in, or an employee of a Pennsylvania business firm (a business authorized to operate in Pennsylvania), you are eligible to participate in Pennsylvania's EITC program.
Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program allows individuals and businesses to receive a state tax credit (not a deduction) equal to 90% of their Pennsylvania state tax liability for eligible contributions.
Your tax credit donation can be directed toward EIOs, like Woodmere. These organizations are registered with the Department of Community and Economic Development to provide innovative K-12 public education.
If you would like to designate Woodmere as the beneficiary of your EITC contribution, please contact your financial advisor and ask them about EITC.

The Frances M. Maguire Hall Project
Woodmere acquired the property formerly known as Saint Michael’s Hall in a real estate transaction with the Sisters of Saint Joseph on October 28, 2021. Adopt the Art & Adopt the Landscape
Woodmere is pleased to announce two initiatives to support Collections Care and Landscape Care at Maguire Hall.
Adopt the Art
When you “adopt” a work of art that’s planned for initial installation at Maguire Hall, you help underwrite conservation, framing, installation, and collections care. Your name will be added to the credit line. For example:

purchase, 2021, Adopted by Jane and John Doe.
Three levels to choose from:
- $5,000 – works of art greater than 50” in any dimension
- $2,500 – works of art greater than 25” in any dimension
- $1,000 – works of art smaller than 24” in any dimension
Adopt the Landscape
When you “adopt” a tree, a cluster of shrubs, or a bed of perennials, you help underwrite the costs associated with the planting and upkeep of Maguire Hall’s landscape, and your gift will be recognized on acknowledgment signage in the gardens.
Five levels to choose from:
- $3,000 - Canopy Trees
- $2,000 - Evergreen Trees
- $1,000 - Understory Trees
- $500 - Shrub Clusters
- $400 - Perennial Beds
Steward an Estate Tree
For $5,000, you can steward one of ten existing, healthy estate trees for five years. Please indicate which Estate Tree you wish to adopt in the 'comment' section on the payment page.
Endow the Landscape
For $10,000 and above, you can support the ongoing stewardship of the landscape with a contribution to the Virginia and Joseph Wilmsen Endowment Fund. Your gift will be recognized on acknowledgment signage in the gardens.
