Due to the inclement weather, Saturday Night Jazz at Woodmere on August 8 will be moved INSIDE the Museum. Outside chairs, blankets, and food are not permitted in the gallery. Seating will be provided. This is always a difficult decision but is done to create the most enjoyable experience for everyone, and with safety as a priority.

Arthur Carles and His Circle

Arthur B. Carles immersed himself in the Parisian avant-garde, absorbing the ideas animating movements like fauvism and cubism. He carried this vital new artistic language back to Philadelphia, where he inspired his students to forge their own modernist paths.
