Philadelphia's Young Artists

This exhibition highlights the creativity of young artists from a variety of Philadelphia neighborhoods. Students in kindergarten through high school were inspired by the artworks of Philadelphia based, Venezuela-born artist, Henry Bermudez. His paintings are filled with vibrant colors, patterns, and dazzling textures that convey the richness of Latin America’s rainforests and his connection to its cultures and mythological deities.

The artworks on exhibit celebrate Philadelphia as a World Heritage City recognized for its unique neighborhoods and international communities that are "woven together to form a truly diverse city of global distinction.” Philadelphia became the first World Heritage City in the United States in 2015. Independence Hall, the rich array of historic buildings and cultural sites, and its sixty-seven National Historic Landmarks distinguish Philadelphia globally.
