Description

Britt exhibited his work in Philadelphia for almost fifty years. In 1947 he enrolled at the Hussian School of Art, a school for commercial artists, leaving in 1950 to attend the Philadelphia Museum School of Art (now the University of the Arts). From 1952 to 1953 he took courses at the Art Students League in New York City. Britt was also an instructor and mentor throughout his career, teaching at the Wharton Centre, the YMCA, and St. John’s Place Family Center.
