Description
Burwell received his BFA in painting from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in 1977 and his MFA in painting from Yale University in 1979. His work has been exhibited and collected broadly, and he is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Pew Fellowship in the Arts in 2008.
