Description
Jones is best known as a sculptor of public art and architectural commissions. Here, he depicts a strikingly beautiful woman, Ruthanne, expressing her grace and vitality.
Jones studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) and its summer program at Chester Springs Art School in Chester County. Charles Rudy was his teacher. Rudy’s bust of his wife, Lorraine Rudy, is also on view. Jones was a member of the National Academy of Design and his work is in the collections of PAFA and Woodmere.
