Description
Wagner attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and was a favored student of Thomas Eakins. He held numerous important teaching positions there as well as the Philadelphia Sketch Club, the Art Alliance, and elsewhere, and he founded an art school in Addingham, a neighborhood in Chester County. He received many awards throughout his long and productive career and is represented widely in museum collections.
