Description

Thick, sensuous paint and a dark palette create a dreamlike and engaging space. Keith Ragone's paintings are often in-spired by water environments -swamps, salt marshes, foam, mud, and the sea near his rural New Jersey home.

Born in 1954 in Vineland, New Jersey, Ragone attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia and received his MFA from the School of Visual Artsin New York City. In 1998, Ragone was awarded a Ballinglen Arts Foundation Artist Residency in Ireland.
