Description

Water, atmosphere, and reflection are featured in this mysterious and luminous painting, which alludes to the artist's memories of the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, the landscape of his childhood. The weight of the air, heat, and light on the Gulf have unconsciously made their way onto the canvas.

One of the youngest artists represented in this exhibition, Eric Huckabee received his BA from The University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, where he studied with James W. Meade, Jr. In 2011 he received an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
