Description

Conceivably local to Woodmere’s own site, Chestnut Hill Near Philadelphia displays a woodland scene bathed in dramatic lighting looking skyward to illustrate an looming storm. Rich orange hues define the dark landscape in contrast to the cool blue-gray sky. The painting shows the oncoming shower barely eclipsing the sun, with its light translating onto the trees and water surface.
