Description

Brian Boutwell was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, and served as an officer in the United States Navy from 1983 to 1997.

A recent graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Boutwell paints lush, abstract works. Like a stained glass window, Grid #XXXIII seems to glow with translucent color. In 2010 he had a first solo exhibition, GRIDirony at the Progressive Sharing gallery in Philadelphia.
