Description

Although Greenwood usually worked in bronze, he experiments here with yellow epoxy resin. The supple qualities of the material offer an uncanny realism to his depiction of human flesh, yet the yellow color makes the figure seem otherworldly.

Greenwood studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), the Barnes Foundation, the Académie Julian in Paris, and Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture. He became a leading instructor in sculpture at PAFA.
