Leon’s untitled sculpture is a figurative narrative involving a bull and a matador. The matador is elevated on a high plane; although he leans back, he may fall forward and impale himself. The bull’s horns are formidable spikes, but the tragic animal’s body is pierced and contorted, as if already fallen in the conflict of man and beast.
