Fascinated by the interrelationship of different art forms, Bernard Kohn sought inspiration for his work in dance, music, and poetry. In these two engravings, he creates a "dance†between rigid rectilinear shapes and organic, sensuous lines. He uses a variety of line thicknesses -some long, some staccato -in an orchestration of fragmented, mysterious images. In addition to being a dedicated visual artist, Kohn was also a music publisher.
