The Social Lens: Photography in Woodmere’s Collection
Woodmere’s collection, dedicated to the art and artists of Philadelphia, includes photographs that represent over 170 years of technological experimentation and a broad range of creative and functional practices. With an eye to showcasing works that speak to contemporary social issues, The Social Lens will focus on race, gender, and ecosystem fragility. The exhibition will include over one hundred works and be accompanied by studio classes for adults and children and programming on Zoom. The exhibition will be organized by the Museum’s curatorial staff and documented with a digital catalogue.
