Discover how paper, color, and imagination come together to tell a story! Join children’s author and illustrator Dorothy Potash for a family art-making workshop. Celebrate the spirit of Circle of Trees with a family art-making workshop! Learn from Dorothy as you create your own collage tree and hear the stories behind her books. Dorothy creates her illustrations through collage, bringing characters and stories to life through layered paper, shapes, and textures. Her books include Jiya and the Wisdom of Elephants, which will be available for purchase in the Museum Store.

Turn a day off from school into a day of creativity! Join us in Woodmere’s MacDonald studio for hands-on artmaking inspired by the colors, textures, and celebrations of fall. Choose one session or register for both! Create a turkey with personality! Children will learn classic hand-building techniques to shape air-dry clay, then add paint, feathers, and playful textures. Each creation makes a festive addition to the Thanksgiving table.
