Jess Rose Lauro
Biography
Jess Rose considers herself a metalsmith, artist, teacher, and maker. She is also adaughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend – all titles she cares fordeeply, as she feels these relationships with family and friends have shapedher morals and values. Each aspect of these titles overlap with each other,weaving together to create her personal and professional identity.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Art Education, witha concentration in Metal and Jewelry, from the State University of New York atNew Paltz in 2023. She received her Master of Fine Arts from Tyler School ofArt and Architecture at Temple University in the Metal/Jewelry/CAD-CAMdepartment in 2025. In tandem with earning her master’s degree, she began workas an adjunct professor in the same school and department as her studies. Shecontinues to teach Metal, Jewelry, and CAD/CAM at the college level and highschool level at Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University inPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as at Westby Hall at Rowan University inGlassboro, New Jersey. She uses her background in copper forming and hercurrent studies in CAD to unite her art practice with her teaching practice,working to continue growing and developing in both fields.
