Vivian Eng
Teaching Philosophy
Vivian Eng is a graduate from Saint Joseph’s University with a degree in Art Education. Over the years, they’ve held workshop classes, classroom, and private lessons to the community for all ages and backgrounds. Their goal is to make positive impact on thelives of people and provide the possible resources for students to grow and thrive in their own creative and critical thinking skills. They like to run their classrooms under their own term “S.E.A.S”; Supportive learning environment, Equity, Active participation, and Safe Space.
Outside the classroom, Vivian is deeply committed to social responsibility and to cross curricular teaching that helps students apply different skills across disciplines, especially integrating science and history into art instruction. While clay and painting are Vivian’s primary mediums, they love to explore new techniques and art forms to better themselves and share those discoveries with others.
