[bottom left in graphite]: Ethel McKenzie; [verso in graphite]: Ethel / McKenzie (Tait M's / wife --Poetess)Trained as a pianist, McKenzie gave up music after her marriage to Philadelphia physician and sculptor Robert Tait McKenzie. She took up poetry and also published one volume of verse, Secret Snow, for which Oakley provided the cover wrapper illustration.
