The painting reads as a patchwork of elements, each vying for attention. The wide pathway from the bottom of the work serves to guide you into a deep-set painting, space accented by the dramatic lighting striped across the midsection of the barn and upper fields. Farmers herd a group of cattle accented with surprising flecks of purple and blue. Beside the barn, two silos are largely obscured in darkness, save for accents of reds and blues.
