Biddle visited Haiti in 1955. This is one of several images of parents and children inspired by the trip. A mother’s body and a nearby sibling offer a cradle of security for a baby girl. A tour-de-force lithograph, Security feels like a symphony of humans connecting to humans and touch from generation to generation, with each hand and foot playing an important role in the overall composition.
