Description

To be able to bring to life one's own fantasy, to express secret thoughts and hidden feelings, to liberate the spirit, to make journeys of exploration within oneself all these experiences are those of the artist.

- Patricia Mangione

Patricia Mangione was an accomplished artist who lived in Haverford, Pennsylvania. She described her paintings as vignettes that border on the surreal. Among her favorite subjects was crumpled paper caught in a breeze. Mangione's paintings have been shown at the Museum of Modern Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, thePennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and other museums across the country. She was the sister of the jazz musician and composer Chuck Mangione.
