Cutting Edge: Recent Acquisitions in Woodcut and Cut Wood

Selections from Woodmere’s permanent collection explore the ways artists have taken traditional woodcut techniques to new heights. The exhibition included the monumental carved wood triptych Exodus (2017), by Diego H. Rodriguez Carrión, selected for the Woodmere Prize at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Art’s Annual Student Exhibition. Remarkable woodcuts by Leonard Baskin and others were also included in this exhibition.
