Children and teen Classes and Workshops
Our kids and teens art programs encourage young artists to explore their creativity through fun, hands-on projects in a variety of mediums. Classes are designed to inspire self-expression, develop artistic skills, and foster a love for art in a supportive and engaging environment.

Join us at Woodmere's Children's Studio at the Frances M. Maguire Hall for Art and Education. Art projects in the studio will change on a weekly basis. Visit often to create a variety of different artworks! Registration is recommended. Art becomes the common thread for building community every summer at Woodmere. Children and teens from different neighborhoods in the Philadelphia region meet at Woodmere to create a collaborative work of art. Working alongside professional artists, students design and construct an outdoor art installation that is incorporated into Woodmere’s gardens. Woodmere is grateful to the generous supporters who have helped underwrite expenses for this program.

To inspire students’ artwork, they will look at depictions of animal environments, animals at play, animals with their human friends, and animal portraits in the galleries. Children will use fun materials to create animals that will come alive in paint, stand tall with cardboard, move around in mobiles, and be sculpted in clay. All materials included. Dress for mess!
