[center in graphite]: "The Earth is weak [?] / and / The In habitants thereof. / I hold up the / pillars of it" / Psalm 72 [?]Oakley frequently wrote her lecture notes in calligraphy. It is possible that she intended this lecture to be published. John Marshall was the fourth Chief Justice of the United States and subject of the “Law of Nations” mural in the Supreme Court series.
