[lower right in red ink]: stamped monogram initials; [below stamp in graphite]: Violet Oakley; [bottom left in graphite]: Mrs. Reginald De Koven done in New YorkAnna Farwell de Koven (1862-1953) was a well-known socialite, novelist and amateur historian who published under the name “Mrs. Reginald de Koven.” Her husband was a well-regarded music critic and composer. Together the couple hosted numerous music receptions at their home in New York City.
