[verso in graphite]: Mrs. WassermanMarried in St. Louis, MO, in 1899, the Wassermans settled in Philadelphia, where Joseph headed a rug manufactory, Artloom Corporation. They lived for a time on Greene Street in Germantown, an address worthy of note in Boyd's Blue Book of 1906. Three years later they moved into their new home, also in Philadelphia, at Wissahickon Avenue near W. Hortter Street. It was built by the noted architect Horace Trumbauer
