[bottom right in red ink]: stamped signature; [verso in blue ink]: Palm Sunday 1923 / palace Madrid; [verso in graphite]: Palace of Madrid 1923 / Palm Sunday when King of Spain / Alfonso XIIIth went to / Royal Palace Chapel / (VO & EE invited by Amrcn / Minister - Cyrus (?) / (Palms from Elche?)The verso inscription likely refers to Cyrus E. Woods as the person who invited Oakley and Emerson to the ceremony. Woods was the U.S. Ambassador to Spain at that time. He would leave that post approximately one week later to assume the ambassadorship of Japan.
