Bramblett continued his process of pouring paint directly onto canvas in this painting. Like X Teardrop, he poured paint onto unstretched canvas that he affixed to supports at specific points. The paint reacted to gravity and pooled in the middle of the canvas, creating areas of staining and densely saturated color. As the paint dried, Bramblett manipulated the canvas and moved the liquid around. The resulting amorphous shapes were determined by his motions and the viscosity of the paint.
