Description

A thin dusting of snow covers the ground in this cityscape of rowhouses. The neighborhood appears depressed, and the gray sky contributes to an overall mood of bleakness. Two figures walk down a muddy road toward an industrial plant. Albert Gold’s signature is visible on the curb in the bottom right-hand corner. This painting aligns with the artist’s fascination with the realities of urban life.
