Description
This work features a boat-filled harbor scene resting under the warm light of an afternoon sky. The diagonal of the dock leads to the line of buildings in the background, interrupted only by the vertical masts. Antonio Martino primarily painted landscapes -the Pennsylvania countryside surrounding New Hope being his best-known subject matter- and his harbor scenes are comparatively rare to come across.
