Immortal Beloved

This small drawing conveys a feeling of loss and a desire to hold onto a beloved partner who is slipping away. Landau, whose wife died of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, published a book of poems with illustrations such as this one, laying bare his emotions as a caregiver.
