Moira

In a composition that seems defiantly unfinished, Hubbard depicts her daughter Moira with broad painterly gestures. She was particularly inspired by the works of Impressionist Berthe Morisot, who, among the original group of Impressionist artists, was the most daring in her painterly bravura. Hubbard captures her daughter’s innocence and an abstract sense to the world around her.
